Melinda Towns

Melinda Towns is a choir teacher at Centennial Middle School in South Lyon.  CMS has 4 curricular choirs and one after school a cappella choir.  Her choirs have participated in many  district and state choral festivals, performed at Detroit’s Fox Theatre, and sing at local events and senior living centers.  She has taught general music and middle school choir for the better part of 27 years.  Melinda has performed and directed with Community Theatre of Howell, Pinckney Players, and the Livingston County Chorale.  She performs at restaurants and senior living facilities all over Washtenaw, Oakland, and Livingston County.  As a member of Sigma Alpha Iota Women’s Music Fraternity and affiliated with the Ann Arbor Alumnae Chapter she is the Vice President of Programs.  Melinda is excited to return and work with the Livingston County Chorale this season.
