Response to COVID & Season Updates

UPDATE 6/3/2020

Dear Members of the Livingston County Choirs and loyal Patrons,

We are truly living in unprecedented times!   No one could have predicted the enormous effect the Covid 19 has had on every aspect of our lives.   However, humans are resilient, and together we are “weathering the storm”.

Please be assured that during this time, the Board of Directors along with the Directors of the choirs are working to meet the needs of our singers, the community and the hearts of all.   We are still here, still planning, and will continue to be flexible in order to adapt to whatever changes may occur.

Our Fall Season will look very different this year.  We are currently working on a plan to offer creative opportunities to sing together, learn together and experience music together – mostly from the comfort of your own home.

To keep up on LCC plans you can visit our website and “like” us on Facebook.   If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me or any of the directors.

We are positive in the face of adversity.   Come join us!

Be well.

Sincerely,

Donna Lorenz,  President Livingston County Choirs

Dear Patrons of the Livingston County Choirs,

In light of the current coronavirus outbreak, and the recommendations made by the CDC and the State of Michigan to help curb its spread, we have had to consider making changes to our upcoming spring concert schedule.

It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the need to cancel the following spring concerts:  All That Jazz! by the Women’s Chorus scheduled for April 18 & 19; Seasons of Life by the Chorale scheduled for May 3; and Sounds of Spring by the Youth Choir scheduled for May 16.

Our plan is to suspend these concerts until the spring of 2021 and present all three concerts in a similar time frame.  We believe that these concerts were going to be fabulous, and we don’t want you to miss out on the joy this music will bring.

For those of you who have already purchased tickets to a concert, you will receive notice on your refund in the coming days.

We want to thank you for your faithful patronage of our organization, for you are the reason we exist.  During our downtime, you may continue to see social media postings of musical events for your enjoyment. Make sure to follow us on Facebook!

We especially want to wish you and your loved ones good health and safety.  We look forward to seeing you again when we are able to resume our 2020/2021 concert season.  Please stay tuned, we will be in touch.

Sincerely,

Donna Lorenz, President of the Livingston County Choirs

P.S. – If you are a current choir member…be on the lookout for an email from your Choir Director with more information.
